Meet the Team – Josh Tobin (Operations Scheduler)

This week we meet Operations Scheduler – Josh Tobin.

“I joined SPS at age 16 as a Business Admin Apprentice in 2020. I am now an Operations Scheduler and in this role, I work closely between Operations, the Trade Union and the Client to ensure our timetables, duties and rosters are fit for purpose and meet the demands of HPC shift patterns.

Before joining SPS, upon finishing school early due to the pandemic, I worked at B&M as a Customer Service Assistant. My role involved anything from stacking selves to helping unpack deliveries. Although simple, it was my first taste of real work during a challenging period, and I met many people I still talk to today.

When I am not at SPS, I spend weekends refereeing football across the South West (I know… but someone has to!). Although challenging, there is a lot of transferable skills and from time to time makes for light entertainment/paperwork”
