Welcome to the SPS Excellence Awards 2024
The new SPS Excellence Awards gives everyone the opportunity to nominate colleagues and teams to receive recognition for their contribution to our business.
Anyone can nominate an individual or team across 10 different award categories.
Familiarise yourself with the award criteria below before making your nomination.

Award Categories
Dedicated Award
To recognise an individual who shows consistency, goes above and beyond, sets high standards, is committed, reliable and is proactive..
Respect Award
To recognise an individual who respects our people, our customers and our community through positive actions and behaviour. This is someone who continuously shows respect to teammates They are known for always treating others how they would like to be treated themselves. They always work to be inclusive and consider others’ views and opinions.
Inclusive Award
To recognise an individual who consistently behaves in a way that makes all our colleagues feel welcome, where they can be their true selves and accepted in a place where they belong.
Versatile Award
To recognise an individual who is versatile and agile in order to overcome challenge and who showcases and ability to adapt, learn, and perform effectively across various tasks, projects, and situations.
Empowered Award
To recognise an individual who takes initiative, is proactive, and takes ownership of their work and responsibilities.
Teamwork Award
To recognise a team that has gone above and beyond for SPS or who has worked collaboratively with other teams to make a significant positive impact. This might include collaborative problem-solving and communication, building relationships and or/breaking down barriers and improving ways of working.
Innovation Award
To recognise an individual who has come up with or developed an idea that improves a process or way of working. The submission should explain how the innovation led to more effective and efficient ways of working. For example, a colleague may have come up with a new or ovel idea or one that has led to a safer environment or saves money or time.
Community Excellence Award
To recognise an individual or team who deserves special recognition for their work or contributions within the local community. This can include volunteering work, charity support, community support activities and individuals who stand out in the local community.
Leadership Award
To recognise an individual who consistently upholds and demonstrates our SPS values and inspires and empowers their colleagues to deliver beyond what is expected. Encouraging the team to look forward and effectively plan their work and who communicates clearly and consistently.
SPS Values Star
All colleagues who have won a star award in the past 12 months will be automatically entered into this category. You cannot nominate for this category.

- Judging Panels – 24th May 2024
- Top 3 finalists announced – 27th May 2024
- Gala Awards Ceremony – Thursday 27th June 2024
