Somerset Passenger Solutions wins gold at HPC Excellence Awards for second year in a row

SPS are delighted to announce that we have been awarded the GOLD Award for Best Regional Supplier at the Hinkley Point C (HPC) Excellence Awards – for the second year in a row.

Representatives from SPS attended the online awards ceremony on 9th December 2020 to receive the prestigious award. SPS was chosen as the Gold winner for this category based on consistent excellent performance over the year.

In addition to this standard, SPS was also recognised in two other fields and were presented with an Outstanding Achievement Award for our part in ensuring we adapted our businesses and processes to maintain construction at HPC. SPS were also awarded a runner up in the Team Delivery Award category.

Simon Cursio, Managing Director, said:

“These awards are a huge endorsement for our efforts, determination and strength during a difficult year of challenges. The competition was extremely strong in this field, so it is a testament to my fantastic team at SPS that we were again presented this prestigious award”.

Ian Myers, Deputy Construction Director of HPC said:

“Your teams have done a fantastic job in helping to keep the site going throughout the pandemic. What should make this even more special is the competition you were up against. All of our service providers have played a massive part in the success of the site progress during the pandemic, so when you put it in this context it is even more remarkable.”
