Tell us a bit about yourself and your role
I am a People Business Partner and am responsible for employee relations and HR projects. As well as the full support of a great HR team, I find myself working with other amazing colleagues within all other departments such as Operations, Customer Service, Training etc.
Every day I find myself speaking to such knowledgeable people within this industry and have managed to combine my skills with others to gain some fantastic results for projects I’ve been working on. I gained HR experience as an Administrator within the logistics industry for 5 years before landing this opportunity within transport.
Outside of work I like to fill my time going to gigs (if there’s live music, I’ll be there!) and socialising with my friends.
What are some of your career highlights?
I’ve had a very jam packed first 3 years full of highlights, including the roll out of our new HR system and the creation of our Company’s Vision and Values. This is why I enjoy working for SPS so much. I’ve already been given some monumental opportunities within such a short space of time, that some HR personnel may not experience in their entire career.
Every day, I find myself walking in to work with a smile on my face because I know this Company is growing and improving by the day and I am grateful to be a part of this culture.
